still running

Yes I am still running I just haven’t posted in a while.  I know that once again I have broken my promise to post regularly.  I will combine some of the highlights of the runs I have done this week in this one post.   Tuesday-10 x 400 workout with Lori (www.brccoloradosprings.com).  This was a hard workout because we did it on a path not a track.  There was a little down hill but that was made up with what seemed like a lot more up hill on the other side.  We also ran the neighborhood to get there and to get back.  A very nice warm up and cool down.

Wednesday-very hilly run.   I should have known when Lori said that there were sections that she has walked before that it would be difficult.  The first part of the run went well but the second part was a little rough.  I did make it back even though slower than I have been running.   I will conquer this course at a later date.

Thursday-off   I have to have a day when the older knees and ankles can recover.

Friday-trail run with Lori.   Legs still hurt but was able to make it an hour.    Lori did have to come back for me because at one point I was running my slow turtle pace but did make it back to their house so that is always a plus.   I am proud of my consistency but sometimes feel like I am going a step backward in speed.  I think because lately we are running a lot hillier courses.

Rest assured I have been running since Alex Hoag I just have had a lot of life changes lately.    I seem to be a mixture between the slow turtle with the cool pants and the fast turtle.  Stay tuned for more updates.      Matt
