pavement

Today I did a mostly pavement run.  That is the problem with training for two races at one time I have to do both pavement and trail. Ran a little trail to get there but then ran in the neighborhoods behind the dog park.  If you are familiar there is a lot of up hill.  I tried to run it as if the taskmaster aka Lori was there.  I pushed myself but have to admit there were a few times I probably could have walked sections faster than I was running.   I felt like I had one of those ball and chains attached around my ankle.  I was going forward but definitely not at break neck speed.   Lori would have been proud that I did keep going and am continuing to build my endurance.  I received a post on my facebook that it is only 26 days until Bear Chase.  I am excited yet nervous at the same time.  It has been a long time since I raced a 1/2 marathon but I am anticipating a good day.   I will keep posting.  Two days in a row is a miracle for me.  Matt    The below picture is how I felt as I started going uphill.
